To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

How to reset trim?

I was wondering that myself

So it looks there's no reset trim option for the F-16.

Just have to do it the real way

As "Los" said: "Trimming a basic pilot function, learn to do it regularly."

Well, you can always map a custom snap view to lock on that part of the console to look at those knobs

Thanks mvsgas

I also wonder:

I fly a sortie where I drop some bombs and return with a single MK-82 (or Mk-84 for a more extreme example) left on my right wing. During flight I trimmed left to counter the asymetric loadout. After I landed I let the ground crew rearm my Viper and now I have a balanced loadout again, but now I need to readjust the trim for takeoff. What do I do?

Trimming is a regular Pilot function but you should learn it on another Plane.

The F-16 FLCS does a good job on it mostly, so you almost exclusively just need a little bit of trim to conquer Async Loadouts.

But you dont need (and shouldn apply any) trim in regular flight.

So if you want to learm how to trim and how valuable it can be you should take a look at P-51 (Or TF-51 since its free and (except for the Guns) is basically the same Plane.

Or Maybe the A-10 or F-18, depending which Modules you have.

But dont Trim the F-16 unless its absolutely necessary which is only some Roll Trim in Async Loadouts or maybe with some sort of Battledamage. But you dont e.g. "Trim for Landing" Like you would on an F-18 or P-51.

Take a look at the Trim Panel on the Left Console its right in front of the TEST Panel and then adjust your Trim that the needles are straight again.

Move the roll trim wheel to center on the aft left console panel and center the yaw knob. The pitch trim should automatically drive to the center position during the takeoff wheel acceleration but of course you can center that pointer too.

Naturally you can manipulate the trim wheels remotely with the pilot stick switches if desired.

See picture (page 29 of the manual)

You have to center the Trim knobs on the left back side

It's easyer if you make a custom snap view to that part of the cockpit (do you know how to make custom snap views?)

I see, thanks guys! I always thought those needles are only relevant for the backup controls
