Harker Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 The video recording panel from inside the cockpit doesn't actually do anything, you can't record your HUD, for example. This is true for all modules, not just the F-18. The only way to review something (using a method native in DCS) is to use the track system of DCS, which in itself isn't a video recording, but a file that contains all of the actions taken by all units within the mission and isn't guaranteed to be perfectly exact every time it's replayed.
