Reckoner Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 (edited) Hello, I noticed an error with the SA page STEP function. In short if the SA page is selected as SOI, with TDC visible, the STEP function will not function as intended with two issues in particular: 1. Select SA page as SOIA. Using STEP function will not cycle between contacts B. Slewing the TDC on a contact, then pressing STEP, will not cage the contact Effect: In both cases the TDC will slew to the last contact selected when the SA page was not selected as SOI, as in this case the STEP function works as intended. Short track attached.FA-18C - SA Page STEP bug.trk Edited January 30, 2020 by Reckoner
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 30, 2020 ED Team Posted January 30, 2020 Hi I can see it in your track, but when I take control I can box the contacts and step though them with no issues. Reckoner Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 Don't know what to say. I removed all mods and repaird/checked all files and still can reproduce every time. Maybe someone else can check this too. Just remember to move the TDC after selecting the SA page.
Ziptie Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Hi I can see it in your track, but when I take control I can box the contacts and step though them with no issues. I can also confirm, that when SA page is SOI on the AMPCD - the step function does not cycle through different air contacts. Only when either DDI or HUD is SOI, does the step functionality work. Not sure if this is where the OP has the SA page displayed when experiencing this problem - but it is the only place that I ever display the SA page, and can confirm this behavior every single time these conditions are met. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 31, 2020 ED Team Posted January 31, 2020 Still seems fine for me. Do you have any unofficial mods, and have you tried a cleanup and repair. Might be worth doing just to ensure noting is amiss. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Might be worth doing just to ensure noting is amiss. I do have mods, but I always remove all mods while bug testing. I ran a repair after your first reply. Now I even deleted and reinstalled the FA-18 module, but issue is still here for me. So not sure what to do next other than trying a different version. (Currently running on 2.5.5.41962) I can also confirm, that when SA page is SOI on the AMPCD Not sure about you, but I get this issue redardless of where the SA page is.
