peterwinship Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I have the release version installed on an SSD and it takes up nearly 176GB (including all my modules etc). I would like to try the open beta. Can someone tell me if the open beta install will also be another 176GB - is it a completely separate install? In which case, I don't have room for both on the ssd.... Thanks.
Harker Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 You can switch between Stable and Open Beta the same way you do an update, no need to install it again. The only difference between the two is some updated files, same as between two different versions of Stable. When I click on the download link I get from the open beta section of the download page it starts to download 176GB of files! As if I would need to do a complete separate install of open beta. Where is it I get the version of open beta where it doesn't need to re-install everything? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks.
