fatboy Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Seeing as though we are getting The F4U Corsair, P47 Thunderbolt and the de havilland mosquito I thought it would be Great to get Some more Red Force Aircraft.I't Got me thinking Which Aircraft?I don't know if it's going to be a Flyable Module or an AI one that's coming but the Japanese Zero will be great Addition. I personally would love to see a JU 87 Stuka or A Macchi C.202 or maybe a Messerschmitt Bf 110.What other's would you like to see?:pilotfly: MODULES: A10C Warthog,AH-64 D APACHE,AJS Viggen,AV8B Harrier,BF109 K4,C101 Aviojet,F14 Tomcat,F15E Eagle,F16 Viper,F5 Tiger,F86 Sabre,FA18C Hornet,FW190A8,FW190D9,I16 Ishak,JF17 Thunder,KA50 Blackshark,L39Albatros,Mirage2000C,Mirage F-1,MI24P,MI8MVT2,MIG15BIS,MIG19P,MIG21BIS,Mosquito FB VI,P51D Mustang,P47D Thunderbolt,SA342 Gazell,SpitfireIX,TF51D,UH1H Huey,Yak52. xvii-Dietrich Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Easy... Ju 88 We have a very nice looking Ju 88 AI model now (REF video), so getting that converted to flyable would be my top priority. A C-6 Zerstörer would be most flexible and appropriate for the time period of Normandy 1944, and would suit both the heavy-fighter and bomber pilots. But the A-4 / A-17 that is being used for the AI model would be excellent, and might now be better, given that the Channel Map is being developed. But basically _any_ Ju 88. The Axis side needs a bomber / ground attack aircraft. ED ran an official what-if survey a while back about what aircraft to develop in DCS. Ref: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205750 The Ju 88 was my top priority then and remains so today. As a realistic alternative, getting the FW 190 F-8 developed would also be really good. There was a hint of it at one stage (REF), but things have gone quiet since then. Otherwise, any Axis bomber or seaplane. We only ever seem to get fighters, so getting something a bit more utilitarian would help diversify the DCS WW2 ecosystem.
fatboy Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 Thanks for the link. I didn't see that one. Also JU88 would be awesome. I've been wanting a Bomber for Dcs for a long time. Be it a modern bomber or WW2. zcrazyx Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 honestly? A time frame needs to be picked, so a G series 109, a medium bomber and some russian aircraft could go a long way, perhaps a yak 3 or 9 or a LA5
Richard Dastardly Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 honestly? A time frame needs to be picked, so a G series 109, a medium bomber and some russian aircraft could go a long way, perhaps a yak 3 or 9 or a LA5 The timeframe for Europe is already set, post D-Day. Russian planes are allies in WW2 too, but when you're picking a group of aircraft for the western Europe front it's a bit hard to get them in somehow until almost VE day... I like the way there is at least an attempt at focus for the WW2 aircraft rather than the randomness of the jet choices. Italy was on the Allies side by then too. That Ju88 made flyable would be fantastic. IIRC from the original Europe flyables list what is left is a Typhoon and a Me-262, but I guess plans might change. I wish the Spit we have was a Griffon model, but it is what it is I guess. 190 F-8 is a minor mod to the Anton; just getting a decent set of payload choices for the A-8 would be a nice start. Kang Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Yes, I'm afraid the ship of 'keeping this is in a somewhat consistent timeframe and location' has - yet again - sailed for DCS WW2. I for one am so far not very interested in WW2 as far as DCS is concerned, a stance that I might re-evaluate once the Mosquito comes around, as I feel the lack of bombers is what's keeping me away from it. So, perhaps Ju-88 would be a great idea.
Richard Dastardly Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 And still we got russian early war I-16 And we were getting the Corsair before anything Pacific was announced - 3rd parties will do what they want  I'm kinda assuming this is a begging forum for ED rather than everyone :) Most Wanted: the angry Naval Lynx | Seafire | Buccaneer | Hawker Hunter | Hawker Tempest/Sea Fury | Su-17/22 | rough strip rearming / construction
