Hi everyone, between the two pedalboards, which one is the best?

VPC ACE-1 Rudder Pedals https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-ace-1-rudder-pedals.html

or

MFG CROSSWIND V2 https://mfg-sim.com/en/rudders/1-mfg-crosswind-v2-graphite.html

I mainly fly on the KA-50.

I don't have either. I flew for many years with the original Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals. But I decided to get the Thrustmaster TPR because they were the most affordable pendular pedals I could find. I wanted pendular pedals because they are a close approximation of F-4 rudder pedals, which fits in well with my F-4 based simpit.

But over the years, I followed all of the available options and numerous people's reviews of them. If you are limited to those two options, I think there are only two things to consider:

1) The material. The VPC pedals are all metal and the Crosswinds are not.

2) The price.

Other than that, I think you will find most people have great things to say about both of those options. But if you can afford the price and the wait time for delivery, the best pedals available appear to be Slaw's pedals. If Thrustmaster had not released the TPR pedals, I probably would have gotten Slaw's pedals.

Which really isn't of consequence if you are familiar with the MFG Crosswind's design and build in person. And the Crosswinds will never have an issue with paint wearing thin, flaking, getting scratched, etc.

I'm interested in precision, sensor level.

Having used both, I would recommend both. Currently testing the ACE pedals for a review, no issues thus far. Both have cams that can be swapped out to adjust the center detent. Th ACE pedals sit on carpet a bit more stable because of the rubber padded feet, but both slip around and may need some solution on your end if not setup against the wall.

I also own both rudder systems. And I don't like it say since I own so many Virpil products , which I totally like. But I have pass one the Virpil Rudder, they are made solid no doubt. The main things that is bothering me is in fact, that all springs are to weak, compared to the MFG. There don't feel like there real thing. I were getting in touch with virpil support, told him my experience in real life(jet and piston time) how a rudder system behavior and feel. The quick answer from Virpil showing below.

I'm very sorry to hear that you aren't entirely satisfied with your new VIRPIL Rudder Pedals!

The VPC Rudder Pedals are actually built as an evolution to the famous BRD line of rudder pedals - as BRD joined with VIRPIL Controls we had access to his expertise and designs. Over the years BRD has tweaked the design to satisfy as many desktop pilots as possible with the limitations of these kinds of setup - having too much centering force will make it more difficult to keep the pedals in one place, and could push back on an office chair for example and while cams with a very hard center maybe preferable for some, BRD/VIRPIL are overwhelmingly asked for softer center cams.

I have forwarded your feedback over to the team however, and as the cams/springs are replaceable parts it's not completely impossible that future sets will be produced! If there's enough demand for this, we can make it happen

Hope this helps,

Have you tried fitting both springs on the rudder at the same time? It certainly made a difference on mine.

Yes that were basically my initial setup. Also setting up the brake pads springs on the second notch. Unfortunately there is to weak progressively force.
