incryptx Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 (edited) Hello I am new to DCS World. So, I ask for help in trying to understand this. 1) Do I copy the "diff.lua" to my "Saved Game\DCS World\Aircraft\Input" folder once I have downloaded it, or do I "import" it using the "control" menu and clicking on a blank spot under my controller "stick" or "throttle" window? 2) Is it best to just clear out "all setting" in the "control" menu's HOTAS selection and just use the Saitek Software to load a ".pr0" file? 3) If I "import" a "diff.lua" does it permenently stay there for that controller and jet, or do I have to load this each and every time I decide to use it? Thanks. Edited February 9, 2020 by incryptx

The .diff.lua in the game folder structure (like "...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Input\FA-18C\joystick" contain default bindings that are effective initiall. The .diff.lua under "Saved Game\DCS World\Aircraft\Input" contain all the changes you have made in the Options/Controls" screen. Do not try to edit these files manually! 2. Not sure if that's a good idea, but I'm not familiar with the Saitek software. 3. Not sure what you mean by "import" LeCuvier Windows 10 Pro 64Bit | i7-4790 CPU |16 GB RAM|SSD System Disk|SSD Gaming Disk| MSI GTX-1080 Gaming 8 GB| Acer XB270HU | TM Warthog HOTAS | VKB Gladiator Pro | MongoosT-50 | MFG Crosswind Pedals | TrackIR 5

Thanks. 1. Negative sir. Just use the control / key binding menu from within DCS' settings menu. 2. In my opinion, it is best to find a control binding arrangement that is best for you (aside from the A10C which should most likely be left to realistic behavior/assignments). 3. If you are in the controls menu, and you chose import from the top of the screen - these control bindings will stay for that aircraft. You do not need to import them every time.
