LastRifleRound Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 There are several aircraft capable of offset bombing in DCS now (including OAP for IAMs). They resolve bearing to the 1/10th of a degree (e.g. 284.7) or more, but the ruler is not capable of this. Would be nice if we could do a similar thing as Alt-Y with the ruler and gain some significant digits on the ruler.
Kang Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I would actually enjoy having slightly more map tools at my disposal. A ruler and protractor I could draw more than one single line with would be nice, along with the option of whether or not my map markings should be shared in MP or not.
Emmy Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Asked a while ago for some basic drawing tools along with a way to just drop “dots” with a click at the end of a ruler measurement. rale26 Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 In my experience offset bombing with current ruler is impossible. I did notice some guys on Youtube posting straight hits but those are all air starts with very little flying. I don't think I manged to get closer that 0.5nm after the cold start and 40nm flying to IP, updating INS and then 12nm more to target.
