Too much glow?

I love the new lighting, and how the subtle lights have an effect on everything else, but it seems to have broken many other things. There seems to be just way to much glow.

 

Instrument lights look like an 80s arcade center or the reactor in Chernobyl. (Tomcat) When the sun reflects off metallic surfaces, such as P-51s, it now looks as if it was magnesium on fire.

 

Can this be toned down, please? Way down?
