View of FLIR and CCP on TGP - it's terrible at sea

Locating ships at sea is very difficult, but unfortunately TGP doesn't help us much. The theoretical FLIR should help us with this, but it's the opposite. Already a short distance ZOOM the ship practically disappears against the background of the sea.

There is a sea clipping going on in TGP, I'll be opening a new bug report about it, but it's not the same thing you see in this video.

I don't see any clipping, it just looks like the ship is very similarly temperatured as the sea, but this could be normal, I don't know that much about FLIR stuff, yet.

I was working on a mission the other day where a FA-18 needed to locate and destroy a ship at night. Its currently impossible to see that ship.

IRL FLIR works really well at night especially on the water.

Lets hope the new overhauled FLIR ED is doing looks better.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

"Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.."
