Since you can't see these parts when you are not smashing your head through the canopy, fixing this 'bug' doesn't make much sense IMO.

Especially the first screenshot is a good example how to save textures. Parts from the internal model which can't be seen from the inside are kept as basic/untextured as possible.

1. It's a bug and it's a bug report. Bug is not years old and it was spotted in the latest patches. Saying that fixing doesn't make much sense - doesn't make any sense.

 

2. You will see it on the flat screen if you adjust seat or move your head with track ir, you don't need to move your head out of the cockpit. In VR you can spot it even with default, recentered view, you don't even need to move your head at all

Ah, ok. With the 'realistic' POV this bug report makes much more sense.
