I dont think anyone noticed this but the AH-64 version announced to be released in a next module is the A version but the pictures show the D Longbow version. There is a significant difference between the 2. The main difference is that the Longbow has a 360 radar mounted on top of the main rotor. Is ED developing advanced sensor modeling for the first time to have this one ingame?

There are a few more differences than just the Longbow radar up top. The cockpits are totally different, and the EFABS are significantly larger.

Actually the AH-64D is two variants with the same name. All AH-64A were upgraded to the D standard - cockpit, avionics, mfd and so on - but according to Pentagon data 2/3 of them will not get the radar and the new engines. Data is 2 years old, don't know current plans though. But army.mil shows pictures with the Apache without radar described as AH-64D Longbow.

Well, technically the AH-64D is just the Apache A upgraded with the new avionics, cockpit setup, and what not. The AH-64D Apache Longbow, is the version with the MMA. But, really, we just use it all interchangeably. Eventually we'll no long have Alpha model Apaches. The only ones still flying them now are the Gaurd and Reserves.

And, i'm still working on what all I can talk about with the Delta.
