Ravacoon Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Hey guys, just a quick question: Is it worth to upgrade my CPU? ATM. I am running a Ryzen 5 1600 and i would like to buy a Ryzen 7 2700X. Is it worth the upgrade or just a waste of money? (Maybe i should go with an R5 3600 or R7 3700) My specs are atm: R5 1600 GTX 1070 16GB 2400mhz Ram Asus Motherboard and a 1080p Monitore (But maybe upgrading into 1440p in the future)
DerFangzahn Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I would go for the 3600. You get basically all the CPU power for good money.
Konovalov Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Spend a bit more for a 3rd gen Ryzen 3600. Cy-27 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Ryzen 2700X has 105W TDP, the temperature is high while the Ryzen 3600 only has 65W TDP. 3600 is better than 2700X in single core performance. 3600 is better.
