ChuckIV Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 OK, to try fixing my weird shadows moving problem, I thought I'd try NVIDIA's Surround mode for my 3 monitors. With Surround I've got NVIDIA using my 3 monitors as one very large 5760x1080 monitor now. When I tried DCS using 1Screen and that large resolution, I get a DX11 Renderer Error. Looks like this... Shader "bazar/shaders/deferred/blurCompute.fx" failed to compile. Reason: warning X4717: Effects deprecated for D3DCompiler_47 error X4586: The total amount of group shared memory (34560 bytes) exceeds the cs_5_0 limit of 32768 bytes C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bazar\shaders\deferred\blurCompute.fx(73,20-60): There was an error compiling expression Retry Cancel How does this work with DCS?? Do you use 1Camera.lua or 3Camera.lua?? I could use some help guys - Can anyone share your settings that's using a 3-monitor setup with NVIDIA's Surround Mode?? ChuckIV Posted March 11, 2020 Author Posted March 11, 2020 1Camera or 3Cameras LUA ?? Livers, Do you use 3 monitors? If so, what file are you using (1Camera.lua or 3Cameras.lua)?? Could you attach a screen shot of the file you are using so I can see how you set it up? Thanks, ChuckIV "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." SkateZilla Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Make sure you turn off all SSAA and MSAA Options before setting the Resolution to 5760x1080 DX11 has a Horizontal Resolution Limit, if SSAA is turned on, the Engine Violates the DX11 Resolution Limit. as it's taking 5760 and S'S it to 8000+ Px depending on SSAA Setting, Violating the 7680px Limit of the DX11 API. Other Work Around is to extend displays from the center screen and set camera lua and DCS Resolution to 5760x1080 without using nVidia Surround. ChuckIV Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 Thanks SkateZilla - I turned off SSAA and that allowed it to work again. I still get very strange shadow movement across the screen if I try to adjust my resolution of my side monitors. My center monitor is a little larger than my side monitors. If I stick with 1920x1080 on all 3, it works but I have to live with the poor alignment. ChuckIV "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." ChuckIV Did you ever get it figured out? i have 2 27" 1440p monitors (we'll call them 1 & 2), my third monitor on the far right is a 23" 1920X1080 monitor. My 4th monitor is a touchscreen (15.6") directly below monitor #2, so it creates a "T". I saw another thread where someone uses a open source to configure the "T" formation. But im wondering if i should just use surround for the 3 monitors (but since there is an ugly duck in #3 monitor, is that possible)? and then the 4th , how can i get the lower cockpit on it just for a few instruments (would make flying much easier). I love 3 monitors, it's awesome so i don't use VR because my Oculus Rift is a screen-door creator and i will upgrade to better VR in the future but for now it's all I have). So i'd like to stick with a 4 monitor concept. And I AM waiting for like monitor to be fixed for #3, but it may be a long while due to CV-19. but for now im in that strange situation with odd man out. All of these monitors are connected to a 2080Ti , so i have just one 2080Ti. So far on 3 monitors frame rates are doing good. i need to tweak settings and find the right balance, but man is it pretty. Edited April 29, 2020 by bad_turbulence

Are you using Nvidia surround?
