Problem with the Warthog stick not taking any inputs sometimes

Hello

For years I used Target version 1.something until I one day thought that perhaps it was a new version out. Turned out to be 3.something so I was pretty much behind.

However, since updating sometimes when I run a script and go into DCS I discover that my stick is not taking any inputs eventhough Trustmaster Combined is detected, only the throttle works.

If I shut down DCS and the script and check in device manager it is unresponsive there as well. I might have to restart the computer to get it back. It does not always happen though.

Has anyone experienced the same?

What happens if you revert to the older Target version?

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Oooo, I had my stick fail on me a couple of times this week.

Once while I was in formation and my stick stopped responding, throttle was fine. Second time was even before starting DCS, stick didn't show up in devices.

I don't use TARGIT, just RS Mapper.

First time I rebooted and it came back, second I closed everything and moved from one USB port to another. I always blame my motherboard and the very poor quality USB implementation.

I might have an older version still at hand, 2015 or so. I'll let you know.

Update: PM send

This happens to me every once in a while. It used to be every time I went to use it, but it started behaving when I got on of these. All I have are USB3.0 and 3.2 ports on the MB back IO. The MB has two USB 2.0 headers so hook this up and works like a charm.

Now every once in a while I have unplug and plug in the stick, but it's worked much better since I made the change.

Another thing I do is try to start TARGET first, before DCS, and run the "Device Analyzer" and move the stick to see if it registers.

Like I said, dead stick rare these days.

Since i got a Warthog last month, i never seen it showing up in the Device Analyser. It only seems to detect my CH Pedals.

Stick and Throttle don't show up, not single, nor combined. What i am missing?

Are they plugged in to USB3? Open device analyzer and Ctrl + E.

Something should be there. You may need to uninstall and reinstall Drivers/Software. When you reinstall unplug Thrustmaster devices first. Plug them in when directed, and restart.

I had issues from not restarting and some error got built up and made everything go kurflunkered.

USB3 yes.

CTRL+E no joy.

Re-installing, no joy either.

No errors either as far as i can see.

Everything works fine, just nothing in the Device Analyzer in Target, for the rest they show up everywhere as expected.

Just installed VIRPIL software along because i will swap my stick base for VIRPIL WarBRD (not done yet, should arrive next week). And yes, they show up both in the VIRPIL software.

No. I didn't calibrate anything.

Edit: downloaded the calibration tools (stick & throttle) and calibrated.

Doesn't help...
