Ironhand Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I recently altered my default cockpit view and snapviews to make better use of my widescreen TV. I now have water showing to either side of the canopy (as well as a gap between the wing and body as I am zoomed (unzoomed?) further back from the HUD. There's a clipping setting that needs to be altered. Where is it? And what should it read? Thanks. Brit_Radar_Dude Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Sorry I can't help Rich. I do recall reading posts about this issue in the past but no idea where. Don't expect too much sympathy from me though, I'm still green with envy after seeing your awesome widescreen setup  Hope you're keeping well, B_R_D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! B_R_D :) Yes, I'm keeping well. But life is very hectic right now with the holidays coming up. Working retail at this time of year can be profitable but very time consuming and tiring as well. Not much time left for flying. And after awhile that "widescreen setup" starts to look a little small...until, that is, you hook up your old 20" LCD like I did tonight. God! Now that's small! Ironhand Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 Found it. Needed to change middle_clip = 4; to read middle_clip = 2; in graphics.cfg. Rich I wonder if thi is done by LOCFG automatically when switching to 16:10 Ratio?! I don't think so, cause I also have some issues with when zooming out totally. Not that its really annoying, but I have a small white (untextured) bar in the view. @ LOCFG Developers: If this is not done by LOCFG Tool automatically already, wouldn't that be worth a try to do this in future versions of LOCFG? Ironhand Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Thanks. But the problem I was referring to is what happened after that. I also altered the default cockpit view and snap views so that my nose wasn't pressed against the canopy. When on the ground I could see either a white line or water textures just outside the cockpit. Also the wings were not attached to the aircraft body when looking back over my shoulder. Ironhand Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 yeah just set near_clip = 0.2 middle_clip = 2 Yeah. I had the near_clip right. It was the middle_clip that was screwing it up. Things look much better now: Thanks for the confirmation.
