Shack Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 (edited) I’m in the market for a VR seat with HOTAS support architecture. I'm not Impressed with YawVR as it seems as if the sensory inputs in order to induce G loading is to introduce lateral motion instead of G force into the seat. I ran into this product from Geko Systems which seems good but doesn’t come with Hotas support. Any reviews or recommendations from the community ? Thanks ! Eaglewings Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Innovative product I must say. All of the video I saw about it were tested on a racing sim. It would be great to have review of the G force seat in a flight sim especially in fast fighter jet. 40 pounds of g-force is what it induce on the body, wonder how that compare to how many gs fast jet produce. Interestingly, I see DCS is supported on their list of flightsims. sirrah Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 I’m in the market for a VR seat with HOTAS support architecture. Why not save money and build your own fully customizable play seat :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249781&highlight=DIY I tweaked my initial design (as shown in the thread) a bit further and am very pleased with the result System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
Shack Posted March 24, 2020 Author Posted March 24, 2020 Interestingly, I see DCS is supported on their list of flightsims. I noticed that as well. Seems like a pretty interesting concept  Intel i9 14900K @5.5 MHz, 64GB DDR 5 RAM at 6000 MHz, RTX4090, Pimax Crystal HMD, HOTAS: Winwing F16EX / Orion 2 Throttle base / Top Gun MIP / F-16 ICP setup. pgh2atl Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Have a DOF Reality H6 myself that I use with DCS & its an absolute blast in VR. I used haptic feedback & a seat belt mod in order to create G Force loads as the platform moves. Check out their web page as they have everything from seat movers (2 axis) to 6DOF platforms. If YawVR is in your price range, something on there may be as well.

I'm looking to replicate G loads ( Force of Gravity ) loads - I think you may be doing this with your seat belt mod somehow ? thanks this was what I was looking for, Shack Edited March 28, 2020 by Shack Intel i9 14900K @5.5 MHz, 64GB DDR 5 RAM at 6000 MHz, RTX4090, Pimax Crystal HMD, HOTAS: Winwing F16EX / Orion 2 Throttle base / Top Gun MIP / F-16 ICP setup.
