Dehuman Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Think about this, eagles fly vs. themselves and other jets in practice constantly. Have you ever heard of such a thing happening with them? No, you haven't. It's just something Yefim made up. Individual aircraft can be preset on the ground to different frequencies to avoid mutual interference during group operations. http://toad-design.com/migalley/index.php/jet-aircraft/mig29/mig29-n019-radar/ This source is on the MiG-29 in particular but is the same across all radars. This is also roughly how ECM works. Transmit on the same frequency of the searching radar. Of course if you can adjust frequency between a flight to avoid interference it's fair to assume that they would be able to adjust the frequency on the F-15s to solve the issue.
Mars Exulte Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Russian engines are being used on US rockets like the RD180. Which has nothing to do with technology and everything to do with political deal making. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
Weta43 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Think about this, eagles fly vs. themselves and other jets in practice constantly. Have you ever heard of such a thing happening with them? No, you haven't. That could just be because it's a pre-organised meeting where the same authority is in charge of the configuration of all the aircraft, and the ground crew make sure it doesn't ? Or because where they set more than 1 aircraft to the same configuration, and they do see this happen, they expect it to & so there's no point in reporting it... Or any number of other explanations that aren't 'someone made it up'. Cheers.
Weta43 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Which has nothing to do with technology and everything to do with political deal making. No, it's because they are better engines (to do with superheating the fuel before injection into the combustion chamber). The stopping of the use of Russian engines has everything to do with political deal making, as Congress passed a bill to force NASA to transition to 'anything but Russian' motors. Cheers.
