With the growing number of available flyable module, it's pretty easy run out of callsign while building multiplayer mission for server where you want make a good number of slot available for the players to pick up.

 

Trying to leave unique callsign it's pretty challenging, where not impossible :music_whistling:

 

There is any ongoing task for this? I would like to see in Mission Editor more callsign, and even more specific callsign, like was done for the Warthog with Thog,Pig etc....... it will be nice to see some cool specific call sign like Viper for F-16, CAT for F-14 and so on, even if it's not super realistic it will help a lot to mantain a pretty decent order in communication.

 

With the SuperCarrier just around the corner, I think this should be take into account and prioritize a little bit, even because it will not require a code refactoring, just some adding content as is!

There are 8 word callsigns but its 76 flights because you can use Ford 1-9 as a flight. Now each contains 4 possible units, but because of multiplayer messaging restrictions you cannot use the flight numbers in a flight, so the multiplayer method is Ford 1-1, Ford 2-1, rather than Ford 1-1, Ford 1-2.

I'd rather they created an API to message and send sound to a client unit than add callsigns so we can actually use the flight numbers inside a flight.
