Orwell Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Looking to make some edits to the auto start file. Anyone know where it is and what it's called? Not Macro-sequences like the other files for other modules....
=475FG= Dawger Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Please open the autostart script for this aircraft ( and your other aircraft) to editing by users. Thanks.
XpRiV Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 This has to be one of the easiest AC to start. Its like 6 clicks (without the lights, flaps and displays etc.) to get the AC started. Why would you want auto start!?! 1 ASUS TUF Gaming B760M PLUS WiFi - i7-14700KF - Zotac RTX 4080 Super - 64GB DDR5 - 4TB M.2 SSD - Thrustmaster Warthog - Samsung G5
wowbagger Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Anytime someone mentions auto start in a post someone always has to question the reasons and motivations. The thread then devolves into a tired litany that has been repeated ad infinitum. Don't be that guy/gal. 2 no sig
XpRiV Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Sorry , wont do it again! ASUS TUF Gaming B760M PLUS WiFi - i7-14700KF - Zotac RTX 4080 Super - 64GB DDR5 - 4TB M.2 SSD - Thrustmaster Warthog - Samsung G5

I spent 30 years and 15,000 hours flying real airplanes. Everything that happens on the ground in a virtual airplane induces intense boredom for me. 2. Modifying the script allows me to cut out all the fluff and speed up the autostart tremendously 3. This is the big one. Modifying the script means I can add in all sorts of post start switch flipping. As an example, I fly the F5 daily with my wingman. We use Air to Air TACAN. My script tunes my TACAN to the proper channel and selector switch position. His version of the autostart tunes his to the appropriate channel 63 numbers up. My F5 autostart goes from cold to a completely ready to fight jet, as do all of the other autostart scripts I make. The folks in my group greatly appreciate them. 4. Having a modified autostart allows me to stay current enough to be effective in the 6 airplanes and helos I fly regularly. I won't buy a module that doesn't allow access to this feature. The ability to edit this script as a mod is a great feature. I don't bother to fly the Harrier much because I can't be bothered with trying to keep current in it and the Razbam autostart is incredibly long. I recently decided to NOT buy the Mig-19 because the free trial allowed me to discover it, too, denies access. I don't care if you want to do manual starts. You should not care if I want to press one button and have my virtual crew chief do all the switch flipping and button mashing while I drink coffee in the FBO. 3
XpRiV Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 Wow, I see your point. That does sound pretty cool mind. I didn't know this was a possibility. I found that in the Hornet, for example, I can do a manual start quicker than the auto-start. That put me off Auto-starting any AC. Apologies if my post came over the wrong way. 1 ASUS TUF Gaming B760M PLUS WiFi - i7-14700KF - Zotac RTX 4080 Super - 64GB DDR5 - 4TB M.2 SSD - Thrustmaster Warthog - Samsung G5
