[REPORTED]Laser/GPS guided munitions always miss targets with towers

Just as the title says, I have been unable to hit radio towers / command posts. When I drop the laser guided munitions, they obviously start tracking the laser but miss by 30-150 feet. I aim at the base of the tower, and even about 20 feet from the base and still the same effect. I have tried multiple times from multiple angles with different munitions and all the same effect.

Will add further information shortly.

You say you're unable to hit radio towers, but your video shows you hitting the tower just about dead-center. I don't quite understand exactly what you mean?

Is it that you started out aiming at the base, but that the bomb ended up hitting further up the tower? If so, keep in mind that as the jet continues flying along, the angle of the laser will get steeper. So even though you were aiming at the base of the tower when you dropped, by the time the bomb hits you're about over the top of it.

Also I wonder if maybe the laser "spot" is considered to be in the center of the object, if it's illuminating an object? Which would be about halfway up the tower. Just a guess though.

The bomb hit most of the way up the tower while I was aiming at the base. 99% of the time is doesn’t do that and flys past and hits the ground. I guess I could have explained it better. This is literally one of two times I’ve ever hit a target with a tower with laser or gps bombs. Especially when trying to take out a command center (bunker with tower coming out) you can’t take it out by hitting the tower. The thing becomes invincible unless you ccip bomb it because the bombs always track the some amount up the tower and not the aiming point.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Especially for GPS guided bombs there shouldn’t be this problem. My only guess is that the object in the model is a pyramid type shape (maybe the wires cause this?) and so when I aim at the base or the bunker at the bottom it actually intercepts the pyramid several dozen feet above.

I had some luck the other day hitting a command center by coming at it from the opposite end of the tower and aiming at the very far end of the bunker from the tower.

I’d encourage you to test it out as I’m 99% sure this isn’t a user induced problem. If I’m doing something wrong PLEASE let me know!
