Flag set random value trigger doesn't work and always set 0 in my old mission file that might be created before 2.5.6.

However it works correctly in the new one.

 

Does it occur only in my environment?

I have problems with Random() as well, and I am using missions that I started designing when 2.5. came out! I have no solution for you, but I would love to learn how to save hundreds of units and hundreds (yes!) of triggers somwhere, in order to import them all to a newly created mission. This is where DCS has its absolute limits, and makes me crazy sometimes.

Do you have the flag associated with a "MISSION START" trigger? If so, change it to "ONCE" and the condition be "time more than" "1".

 

The "MISSION START" logic seemed to have changed with 2.5.6.

Yes.

But the same result occur with a "ONCE" trigger.

Odd. Once I swapped mission start for once it started working ok on my end.

 

Hm ... have you created the mission you are talking about (which works) in 2.5.6 or 2.5.5?

i too have had issues with random flag value being rather nonrandom and repeating most of the time.

since then i just set the flag value using lua from "do script"

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X

GPU: AMD RX 580
