Zeus67 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Radar memory is now enabled. This function is always active. The radar always save the last locked contact to memory. If the contact is lost for any reason (manually unlocked, target breaks lock, target is destroyed, etc.) a yellow "ghost" contact is displayed. This ghost contact will then move in the last known vector direction. The ghost contact is always displayed unless you erase it by clicking UP on the RAZ button on the VTB. jojo Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I don't understand. Don't you need to select RDO on PCA to activate it ? Mirage fanatic ! Steph21 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Thanks zeus, if we lock a new target, will the ghost contact of previous target remain on VTB (if no RAZ is done)? Can we have several ghost contacts displayed on VTB?
myHelljumper Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I don't understand. Don't you need to select RDO on PCA to activate it ? From Zeus on discord: RDO enables/disables DO for radar unlock It is ON by default Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
Zeus67 Posted April 9, 2020 Author Posted April 9, 2020 I don't understand. Don't you need to select RDO on PCA to activate it ? RDO only affects DO for manual radar unlock. RDO is ON by default. Can we have several ghost contacts displayed on VTB? Yes. The ghost contact will remain until you erase it with RAZ. Even if you have locked another target or the radar is in PIC (STT). The ghost vector always represent the last locked contact. Only one exists. The previous one will be replaced by the new one when the radar loses it. Zeus67 Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 Another sample of DO memory. Both the "ghost" contact and the locked target are in the screen at the same time. The radar is in PIC (STT) mode. jojo Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 So what is the difference between the default DO and the DO with RDO selected on PCA ? Mirage fanatic ! myHelljumper Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 So what is the difference between the default DO and the DO with RDO selected on PCA ? From what I understand there is none, if you lose the target because of notch or else, a DO is setup. If RDO is engaged, the DO will be also setup if the target is unlocked by the pilot. And RDO is activated by default. Also, from Zeus on discord : DO Memory is now finalized. RDO enables/disables DO memory for radar unlock. It is ON by default. Next step is entering a manual DO. LastRifleRound Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Does this apply to STT locks only or also to TWS bugged target?
