Hello everyone,

New sim pilot here. I just bought some modules with the corona sale so I have a lot to install. However, I only have a laptop, which has 250 GB SSD on it with windows and dcs installed on it.

So when I was installing the Nevada map yesterday I kinda realised that everything I bought won't fit.

I found a few topics discussing the possibility of moving the terrain folder (which takes alot of space) to the slower HDD drive and linking it. Can someone maybe explain to me how to do this with the terrain folder?

Also, will this impact the performance of dcs, since the maps are loaded from a slower drive? I can imagine so. But does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

This will explain the how:

But, it’s not something I would recommend... you will likely increase stuttering in dcs or at the very least increase load times...
