I will try this one for sure and report back. I too had this stuttering issues when looking sideways in MT mode. -

The problem where you switch views and your fps crashes it most likely have to do with vram getting full and it getting passed on to gpu shared memory which is much slower …so I would try what he says to avoid this f2 crash

I seem to get these extreme fps sinks, with the game getting stuck in very low fps forcing me to wait untill it returns back to normal. Sometimes its harder than other times and escaping back into the menu doesnt improve it, untill gpu shared memory gets emptied again. It always seem to have to do with this gpu shared memory. I have a 3080 combined with 5800x and 64gb ram. I am able to trigger this fps sink by: restarting mission going to the map and getting back into the cockpit random moment within mission, without any logic nullAs you can see in the images, the fps goes crazy. I have to wait untill the gpu shared memory empties itself. Then it returns back to normal untill it gets triggered again. Mods make no difference in this. without mods it still occurs. I also prioritized dcs in the procces tab and didn't see anything else taking much recourses. Besides this terrible issue, I don't see massive gains. Although my first impressions seem to be that the fps doesn't get affected by other units as it did before. But some stuttering remains.

Hello Skatezilla, as you know the latest update introduced the necessity to add --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR, when wanting to use openxr natively. My problem now is that these prompts can only be given to the shortcuts and I only use your utility to start dcs which (i believe) starts the original exe file in the bin folder. Unfortunaly I dont see a way to add this prompt in the same manner with the original exe. How can I solve this?
-
How does this work when you use the updater utility by skatezilla? I can't edit the target in the actual exe in the bin folder. This option only seems available in the shortcut properties. And the updater uses the actual exe from the bin folder so that doesnt work.

I cant wait to see vaicom improved even further...I also don't have a problem with it becoming free....I think this was also the intention when Hollywood_315 put it online

Just to confirm if I understood correctly. Does the GPL, including source code mean that the kneeboard will probably get fixed as well in this first community release right? Will this result in continued existence including adaptation to new modules and new ATC from Vaicom in the future? At least the possibility to adjust the software accordingly is here now right?
-
Awesome news! This means that Vaicom pro will remain with us in the future and hopefully keep improving with the help of the great community. For now I will postpone updating to 2.8 and leave my vaicom intact to see how this plays out. I am not sure if I will have to reinstall the free version now, but I will wait and see untill the community had the chance to get into it with a more stable fix for 2.8 and beyond.

Vaicom no longer recognizes F-14 after DCS 2.8 update

Is the developer from the Netherlands? I live in the Netherlands but without a phone number or adress there isn’t much I can do. -
" I solved the situation by lowering TEXTURES...I can leave terrain textures to high and that seemed to have solved the problem" I explained it here. lower textures, not terrain textures. That gave me enough headroom.

For me (3080 and 5800x 32gb ram) I solved the situation by lowering TEXTURES...I can leave terrain textures to high and that seemed to have solved the problem...apparently airplane textures etc take quite a toll on vram and I had it constantly happen in the cerberus north campaign which has a lot going on...lowering textures prevents me from running out of the neccessary vram

It's driving me nuts as well, but unfortunately this thread seems to be dead. Also I have a ticket open, but ED doesn't seem to be very aware of what is the problem. Since they are only reccomending the standard solutions, like removing mods, turn of msaa, do full repair etc (which btw did not work)
