HoYa Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I am running DCS beta in VR, and after having trouble with slow frame rates and game crashing, I’m wondering if the non beta would be better ? Also, if downloaded would it simple replace the beta or do I need to uninstall/install ? Thanks to all who reply
Greyman Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 should provide all that you need for the standalone version of DCS. If you are on the Steam version, check out https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=234271
MAXsenna Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Do as @Greyman says. And as others has suggested in similar threads, one can use Skatezilla's excellent app (mandatory anyway IMHO) to easily switch between the two versions and specific builds as well. In other threads, it has been reported that rolling back Nvidia drivers, where (applicable), and deleting "fxo" and "metashaders2" folders under "Save Games" has improved performances. (Load times will increase while thees are "rebuild". Your mileage may vary, but it's probably worth a try. Sent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk
sigfan86 Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Are you using the vr shaders mod from user "Kegetys"? If not, give that a try before going back to stable. It really helped with the stability on my computer in vr System: Ryzen 5900x, G.Skill 3600 32GB, MSI 4090 suprim liquid X, samsung odyssey+ headset
