dave76 Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) guys is there a way to know what is landing weight in case i have to make a flameout approach.....i know i have to add 5 kcas every 1000 lbs more than 20000lbs, but how can you check the weight , just add your fuel in the tanks to 20000lbs (plus external stores???). is there a more precise indication maybe in the ded? Instead of all calculations you could also glide with 7degrees AOA...which is best glide (rule of thumb)
Bog9y Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Shouldn't the speeds for a C model be 200 kts for a 20,000 lbs jet + 5 kts/1000 lbs of stores/fuel? - 10 kts of that speed with Gear down , minimum being -20 kts. But as Bouli says, an AOA of 7 degr is a good ROT.
