Any of the modders willing to have a bash at making the Mig29 and SU27 Head Down Display a simple HUD repeater in Air to air mode (like it should be) rather than the confused hybrid thing it is at the moment ?

Well there's a switch ТАКТ<>ДУБЛ which means that HDD mode can be set to

1. TACTICAL something like we got now in LO and

2. DOUBLING of HUD, which you see on photo.

As Foxone indicated in another thread the switch in real life in the Mig29 does nothing, the display is a HUD repeater.

 

"On RL Su-27 there is tactical information/ hud repeater option for IPV display, selectable with a switch on IPV, TAKT/DUBL. This switch is also found on some later-series MiG-29, but it does nothing. The other minor difference I know of is that in radar/IRST search regime on Su-27 the plane’s silhouette on the HUD doesn’t have the vertical “tail”, only the wings, but in lock regime, nav and all other there is the “tail” like in MiG-29."
