Replay questions.

Hi all,

 

 

So I’m messing around with the replay functionality to record videos etc.

 

How come it’s so buggy and often crashes if you FF too much?

 

Also is there a list of replay controls somewhere?

 

I have a decent machine 32Gb ram and SSS etc so can’t see why replaying would be so hit and miss?

Has been since day one . It does not record video . Rather it records controller inputs . FF is particularly problematic . Keep it simple , short , and no FF for the best chance of working .

Also, the more updates follow, the more your track will divert from the original.

Example: I recorded an F/A-18C landing, take-off (cat shot) and flyby on the Stennis for use in a VR presentation. Worked fine. But after the first update, the landing was still OK, hooking up on the cat was not even tough the aircarft got launched (in fact, it didn't really launch with the catapult, on the track it took off under own power because the F/A-18C went full burner. It didn't follow the straight line of the catapult either but a little bit to the left resulting in a crash. On the next update, the F/A-18C crashed on landing because it didn't reach the Stennis anymore.
