randomTOTEN Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Just lost directional control on landing. Full 90° slide to a stop.:megalol: On the taxi to the stand, of course the airplane has a little bit of bank, the bogies on the landing gear shake and rattle when viewed from the external model, directional control is a little sluggish, and the tires are visually sunk into the ground. Yet, visually the rubber appears intact and in good condition, when it appears the physics are indicating all 6 tires blown. Has the 3d model for shredded tires been implemented yet? Still love this bird!
Airhunter Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Not that I'm aware of. As far as I know the only ones that have them are the FC3 aircraft. Might be wrong though.

Nope, almost all of the planes include this feature, except the ones developed by Heatblur. I also noticed they are the only 3rd party not properly modelling and animating the engine exhaust on their planes.

MYSE1234 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Interesting. By exhaust you mean afterburners or the heat distortion? Probably the nozzle i'd imagine. The nozzle on Viggen is not animated, the Tomcat I'm not sure about, I would think it is. TBF you can't really see the nozzle very clearly so I wouldn't place it very far up on the priority list. Viggen is love. Viggen is life. 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti S | 64GB 6000MHz RAM |

Yeah, the nozzle on the Tomcat is animated, on the Viggen it's not, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to. What I was referring to is the high pressure turbine at the back of the engine, it's currently static but it should spin depending on engine RPM, like the fans at the front, inside the intakes, you can see the move when starting up the plane, at least on the F-14. Maybe they can use the one on the F-16, given that both planes used similar GE F110 engines instead of wasting time modelling and animating the whole thing. I think the JF-17 uses ED's Mig-29 model. Not really a priority though, but I've noticed these small details on cheaper modules, and given how good the Tomcat is, perhaps they could add these final touches.
