Hello!

This seems like an old problem (found topics from 2016) but I never found any kind of solution... When I use TrackIR I sometimes get this annoying bug that DCS thinks I unplugged TrackIR.

Is there anyone who solved or worked around this problem? DCS is not playable with this occuring out of the blue!

Is there anything Eagle Dynamics could or want to do? Is this an Track IR failure?

Thank you!

Put this in your autoexec.cfg:

no_device_hotplug = true

NOTE: you will lose hotplug functionality, but it should not disconnect the devices any longer.

i keep a usb stick handy for when this happens. just plug it into the usb 2 slot on the front panel and remove it and the tir is back. it seems to be a period of inactivity that causes it to drop out, from what i've seen

This - the "plug another USB item into a USB port and the TrackIR should be re-identified".

Just tried it myself with a spare USB storage stick and it worked perfectly.

Just reviving this thread with a problem I'm having with TrackIR5 on a new build 9 (Win11).

After using TrackIR, I can succesfully shutdown the app and the green light goes out on the camera.

However, when I try to Shutdown the computer, using "Shutdown" through the Start button, Windows "shuts down" however the PC remains running (fans, motherboard lights, etc).

If the TrackIR is unplugged prior to doing this, the issue doesn't appear, so it's 100% related to the TrackIR being plugged into a USB port (no hub).

I have deselected (box is unticked) "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box in the Device Manager for the USB Root Hubs (all of them) however this appears to have no effect on the problem.

Any ideas? Thanks.
