No - Vaicom does not automate the cockpit. It is designed to handle all the communication menu side of things.

To do what you want you can either download a VA profile from someone like Bailey, or write your own commands in VA. These profiles can then be daisy-chained on to Vaicom through the VA profile settings so that you can use both seamlessly in game

VAICOM does not automate cockpit switches as hornblower says.

You can use the Select command to tune your radios though, also in the Viper: ' Select One Two Seven Decimal Five', ' Vaziani,..Select'.

There is no spoon.

ok I think this is what I'm looking for. Thanks

I have had issues for the last several version where the 'select' command wasn't working for me (ie. if there are multiple AAR available in a mission - i used to be able to say 'select arco'

How does it know which radio btw ?

It knows from which PTT you press.

For example, for the Hornet, pushing the selector switch forward selects radio 1 and pushing it down selects radio 2.
