David A Sell Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Hello! I am finishing up a track file I have been working on, and have gotten to the point where I add the mouse cursor. I use alt+0 to turn it on and off, seems to work fine when I am in video edit mode, but when the track is finished and saved the cursor does not show up in the track? I see it at the very beginning, like the first mouse stroke and then nothing.. I have tried several "test tracks" where I try different things, Like keeping alt+0 active the entire time, turning It on and off, and it just dosent work. I do see the red "Mouse pointer active" indicator when I press alt+0 put in the finished product all i sse to have is the very first mouse stroke. I do have a very short "test track" that shows the problem I can forward on if anyone can take a look. I am using a USB mouse, and my resolution is 1680x1050 (monitors naive res) either of these cause the problem? Anyone know what could cause this? S77th-GOYA Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 The problem is your resolution. If I remember right, you must be set to 800x600 to record your mouse cursor. Ironhand knows for sure.
David A Sell Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 Still looking for some help here.. I went ahead and dropped my resolution to 800x600 and I do have the cursor showing up now.. but on the replay it is not where I want it.. seems to be the correct movments I made, but just off a ways.. Anyone have an idea? Home-Built Rig - | ASUS TUF Z390-Plus| i9 9900k | 2080ti | 32g G.SKILL TridentZ |Samsung 970 evos | Tagan 1100w PS | Warthog Hotas | Track ir 5 | Saitek Pedals | PFT Collective
Ironhand Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Sorry. I've had too much on my plate and no time to stop by. The sim loathes widescreen and higher resolutions than it was originally designed for. I have never found a way to make the cursor position correctly in any widescreen format--my present monitor's format. It only plays back properly for me when I use a 4:3 format based on my screen height. In your case, that would be 1400x1050. Obviously you will be working in windowed mode. Give that a try. I think you will need to re-record the cursor. I don't think it'll play back properly if originally recorded in 800x600 even if you now change the resolution.
