Did anyone sort out the issue with not saving cockpit views?

Greetings,

 

DCS hasn't been saving my custom cockpit viewpoints for a while.

 

I use RCntl+RShift+NumPad Keys to move my head to where I like and set the zoom I want, then press Right Alt + Numpad 0 to save it.

 

It saves it for the mission, but when I load a new one, everything has returned to the default position and I have to do it again. :mad:

 

I love the performance in the newest OB version, but this is *really* getting on my nerves! Any ideas?

I have the same issue. You can't save the default FOV (or zoom), but you can save the head position in the cockpit. Check the SnapViews.lua in your user config folder. The workaround is to decrease the Y saturation for Zoom View axis. I filed a bug report in Dora section for that, but no answer yet. That won't happen for example, in Su-27 and probably on the FC3 planes which still use Server.lua for default FOV.

Thanks everyone, it seems like this is a real bug and not a little fluke that only some people get.

 

That sucks because it's *really* irritating, but so be it.

ME love to made a copy of the snapviews.lua to the server mission, that is forced to you on a server.

No matter you have local snapviews.lua.

 

Try for single player.

And make sure you ***checked*** saving of snapview changes in game options.

has two lines for me now is:

DisableSnapViewsSaving = false //what i mention earlier

UseDefaultSnapViews = true //this line seems to defunct, set it to false if problem persists for you

Seat position not saving - VR

 

Hello:

 

 

I am adjusting the seat position in the F16 using the RSHFT+RCTRL and KPn. I am saving the position with RALT+KP0. The seat position is saved for that particular mission event.

 

 

HOWEVER, when I exit the mission and start a new one, my seat position returns to the default state and will not remember/save my preferred position set in the mission prior.

 

 

I have not tested this with other planes, but I will. If this is a known issue, then apologies for the redundancy and please post the link for reference. If for whatever reason I am doing something incorrectly - and I don't think I am - please enlighten me.

I tested on the F16 and F5 and the change in the seat position is not getting saved.
