Dmut Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 great photos, thanks TorwaK! ps: ah, F-111, my very love in its best days... "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." TorwaK Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 ps: ah, F-111, my very love in its best days... You're welcome Dmut. However Royal Australian Air Force is using F-111 bomber planes still until replace them with F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. They ordered 24 aircrafts. As you know USAF took out of service them in 1998. Kusch Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 WOW! Super! Thanks TorwaK :) Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)!
RvEYoda Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Nice pics. Love the raptor going "I kill uuuuuu" ;) S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'

Kusch Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Hmm I've never heard about it. Where did you get this information, could you share with us? Australian press quote: The Australian Defense Ministry is looking for replacements for its outdated fighter jets, the Herald Sun newspaper reports. Defense Minister Joel Fitzgibbon stated that the ministry would like to convince the United States to waive its export ban on the fifth generation of F-22 fighter jet, which is its first choice to replenish Australian forces with. The ministry is also interested in obtaining F/A-18E/F Super Hornet as a transitional measure. Australia has also been considering acquiring Russian Su-34 bombers and Su-35 or MiG-29 fighters. According to the newspaper, Australian politicians have observed them in their neighbors' air forces and are impressed with their high capabilities and relatively low prices. Australia negotiated with Russia for the purchase of a large number of Su-27 planes, but the negotiations failed because of political reasons. The Australians now consists of F-111 and F/A-18 dating from the 1970s and 1980s. Earlier negotiations with the Americans for F-35 models, but they eventually decided against buying them because of missed deadlines and rising prices. According to "The Age" newspaper in Melbourne, the new government is reconsidering the purchase of 24 Super Hornets as a stop-gap fighter jet. The decision could be jettisoned by the Rudd Government as it reviews all aspects of the program to give Australia an edge in air-combat capability in the region. Defence Department planners are believed to have been asked to present a detailed analysis on all the fighter jet options to the new Federal Government and how they stack up against likely adversaries — the first time such a study has been done for at least five years. All projects in the program will be carefully examined. That includes what aircraft are to be bought, in what numbers, when and at what price. RvETito Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Good pics Torwak. Except for the F-111 I liked also the EA-6B, being the only active airframe based on the mighty A-6 Intruder, my favorite naval bomber. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
Rodgerdat Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I had no idea the F-111 was still in service.
Mugatu Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I'd love to know how the F-111s still perform, I guess the F-22 would now be able to chase it down. You're welcome Dmut. However Royal Australian Air Force is using F-111 bomber planes still until replace them with F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. They ordered 24 aircrafts. As you know USAF took out of service them in 1998.
