Hello. Some clickable controls are only enabled for joysticks. What is the reason for that? I use Warthog TARGET for everything, and not being able to map it is annoying.

The "Special for joystick" commands work with YES/NO states. As long as the switch is held/key is pressed, DCS will stay on YES. When the switch/key is released, it'll revert to NO. You can use the separate ON and OFF commands to control it through the keyboard.

Huh? I know I can use ON and OFF separately, and I did just that in the screen attached, but it takes two bindings instead of one (and occupies two buttons/switch positions on my physical HOTAS). The switch in question - KY58 Power Select does not need to be held in RL. I can bind gear up/down to a single button, but not this switch? Just does not make any sense to me...

As you might have noticed, this switich has 3 positions. There is no command to switch between them all. You have commands to cycle it clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW). Or you can use commands for each position.

Input command under 'Special for joystick' category are not meant to be used with keyboard, because in order to make them work you have to keep button pressed all the time.

If I didn't answer your question, please, explain a bit more.

Thanks!

Have you tried without target? The command assignment page works with your warthog natively. In the case you have highlighted, one of the toggle switches on your warthog that only electronically activates one way (on) and has no electronic signal for (off) can be used. Find your warthog in the columns and double click on it bringing up the sub menu, activate the switch and save your profile under a custom name so DCS doesn’t overwrite during an update. The highlighted key bind will allow you to use those “dumb” on-off toggles as on-off in the software.
