Hello,

I edited a Foxy Profile for my HOTAS, and tough most likely I will tune it a bit as I progress on my learning of the P-47, I want to share it here in case some other user have this same HOTAS.

The functions that I placed on it are the following:

T0BYhpS.jpg

I will add the download link as soon as it appears on the Users Files section.

Edit: Download here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310433/

Best regards,

Eduardo

Cool, though you may want to have the rudder on the trim hat instead of the ailerons. Props require a lot of rudder trim, and you need to trim it specifically on takeoff and landings.

Foxy allows each user to easily customize the buttons and hats to their liking, for example if you use Discord instead of Simple Radio.

I dont have rudder pedals, so I operate the rudder with my left thumb over the antenna knob .. honestly for me it is easier to adjust the rudder instead of its trim :)

Best regards,

Eduardo

Hi all, I am struggling to get my head wrapped around how to get the water injection button to depress, then to lock in the depressed position using the T1 IN. Of course, to shut it off, I would want to press the same switch again. I cant figure out how to do it. The current config just presses the button in, but wont hold it in so the next command will lock it in place? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

BTN T1 /I /P /H Water_Injection_Button /R Water_Injection_Button_Lock_toggle

Hi,

Yes, that can be done ... Foxy allows you to have a button perform several commands in sequence, so I first tried

BTN T1 /I Water_Injection_Button Water_Injection_Button_Lock_toggle

but it doesn't work as the Water Injection Button must be held down while pressing the 2nd command. So, I next tried it using the USB function to separate the key down and key up events of the Command for the Water Injection Button, like this:

BTN T1 /I /P USB(D08 ) Water_Injection_Button_Lock_toggle /R USB(U08 )

and it worked :smartass: .. 08 is the USB code for the "e" key (U is for key Up and D is for key down), used for the Water Injection Button ... you have to change this if you bind a different key to this command.

next, to use the same button to release the lock the 2nd time it is used, I made use of the toggle modifier ( /T ) like this:

BTN T1 /I /T /P USB(D08 ) Water_Injection_Button_Lock_toggle /R USB(U08 )
         /T Water_Injection_Button_Lock_toggle

Best regards,

Eduardo

Next item, I am using the microstick forward and aft to move the "BOOST" knob, but its way too fast. I spent a couple days trying to figure out how to slow it down without success. I couldnt get my head wrapped around the foxy configuration for this type of thing, even from reading the errors it was spitting out. If someone could offer me a tip, that would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Rem -------------------------------------
Rem   Microjoystick:(0 40 60 100)
Rem -------------------------------------

MIX /I
       /O 5 3 (0 40 60 100)  ( /H Boost_DECREASE) ^ ( /H Boost_INCREASE)

EDIT: I Tried fiddling with the RATE(50) numbers, but couldnt get it to work smoothly,, worked with  10 to 500 but no luck

Hello,

Sorry I didn't see your post before, I'm still not used to the new forum software 😞

The RATE command only affects the /A character generation, not the /H ... however, the /A can't be used on Axis commands, so it is not possible to slow down the character generation in this case. If you program the same Boost command but on a Hat, then you would be able to use RATE and /A to get slower autorepeat.
