Raven434th Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 (edited) I THINK , the shkval is not working properly. It won't track to target when pressing datalink to egress on a designated target. Its waaay off the mark. Is it not supposed to anymore or is it broke? I'm refering to this feature...4:00 on time scale in this video Edited June 10, 2020 by Raven434th MODUALS OWNED AH-64D APACHE, Ka-50, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, Mi-24,MiG-29 FF, Gazelle, FC3, A-10C, A-10CII, Mirage 2000C, F-14 TOMCAT, F/A-18C HORNET, F-16C VIPER, AV-8B/NA, F-15 E, F-4 Phantom, MiG-21Bis, L-39, F-5E, AJS 37 Viggen, MiG-19, F-86, MiG-15Bis, Spitfire IX, Bf-109K, Fw-190D, P-51D, CA, COLD WAR GERMANY,SYRIA, AFGHANISTAN,NEVADA, NORMANDY, PERSIAN GULF, MARIANA ISLANDS,SUPER CARRIER, WORLD WAR II ASSETS PACK, HAWK T1 SYSTEM SPECS AMD 7600X 4.7 Ghz CPU , MSI RX 6750 12 gig GPU ,32 gig ram on Win11 64bit.
Holton181 Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Its waaay off the mark. Longitudinal (forward or behind the target) or lateral (left/right) or both? If I remember correctly, the target elevation isn't taken in consideration, so the camera will most of the time be pointing on a spot forward or behind of the target necessitating a manual correction up/down. Raven434th Posted June 10, 2020 Author Posted June 10, 2020 (edited) set the contrast and the brightness ;) I'm not talking about locking a target...I'm talking about tracking too a target via data link\ingress point...look at the video at 4:00...it will "snap" to target point. Could be ,but I did try it at multiple altitudes...does it work for you?? Fri13 Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 It does work. If you mean to recall s KABRIS stored target position using a datalink panel? As I can do that same as in video. 1) reset targeting system 2) select target type and target stored by pressing target type as ma y times as needed in datalink panel. 3) select DL = Download 4) check you don't have a HMS active. 5) Uncage shkval To store a target properly, you need to range its distance with laser before storing to KABRIS. The Shkvall will not lock on target recalled from KABRIS, it simply sleeves itself on that position when uncaging. And you likely should get it just near it, not exact position. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

No...not the same thing,...or is it??? Look at time stamp 4:00 on video....were talking about the skhval auto slewing onto an already saved target on the datalink when uncaging. In the video it slews right to the target...mine is waaay off when I do it.The target is not from me,its from a wingman,so the range data should already be there. This is on the instant action mission "insurgents" on Caucasus map BTW. fudabidu Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) Folks, please test before posting! Tried the same mission, sent the AI to scout and all DLink points were significantly off vertically. The coordinates are correct, but not the altitude. In the track file I'm flying sideways and the reticle will stay perfectly above the target. I suspect there is something wrong with the altitude calculation, basically adding the wingman's radar altitude to the target altitude. ED, if you're working on the upcoming BS3, that's cool, but it would be really nice if you stopped pushing incomplete/broken updates into open beta. Thank youDLink bug.trk Edited June 23, 2020 by fudabidu
