Radar altitude is wrong

I noticed that my radar switch is changed from baron to radar sometimes the radar alt works. Other times on radar the b in the hud just blinks.

 

Any ideas on what to do?

Radar altitude will calculate your height from the floor and it has a limit of 5000ft.

 

So if you are above 5000ft from the floor, the altimeter will switch to Barometric.

It also won't work when the aeroplane is significantly banked - it reverts to barometric until you roll out

The blinking B indicates that the displayed altitude is barometric even though the switch on the HUD panel is set to radar.
