HoYa Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 How the heck do you uncage the SAI ! I’m suppose to Just pull knob. I’ve left, right clicked, scrolled up, down and every combination of the four ! What am I missing ?? Thanks to all who reply
mvsgas Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Should be able to rotate the knob clockwise until it uncages. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Bunny Clark Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Yah, you just need to keep mouse wheeling it until it uncages. It's kinda pain. Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign. Bunny's: Form-Fillable Controller Layout PDFs | HOTAS Kneeboards | Checklist Kneeboards
MAXsenna Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Right click it and hold, then drag your mouse up or down. This can be done for most buttons that get the "rotation wheel icon", when you hover your mouse over it. Left or right click depends though. Took me 3 years to figure out, and noticed by fluke in a GR video. Stuff like this should be in the training sessions. Haha Sent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk
Frederf Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 The pattern of rotation of the knob is like a capital letter "H" on its side. You can rotate the knob CW and CCW both pulled out and sunken in but you can only move the knob in-out when in the center of its rotation. Pulled out is caged. There is a spring you have to pull against. It is impossible to pull out the knob except when the knob is centered in rotation. To keep the knob pulled out while holding it out rotate it away from center. Then it can't fall back in to the uncaged position. To uncage it's only necessary to rotate the knob to the center. The spring will cause the knob to fall back in.
