Excelsior Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 SC-5 Belfast C1? Only reason I know is because I recognized the British Airways aircraft in the background and the museum where the first photo was taken. Yes, congratulations. It was the Shorts Belfast C1, killed off by a clause in the IMF loan to save the pound in the sterling crisis, forcing the RAF to take the C-130 Herc instead of this very capable and much better aircraft. Weta43 Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Something German with a push-me Pull-you prop setup ? Cheers.
nellen_mellen Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 maybe if I post the 3-view it'll help EDIT: I'll add that there was only 1 of these made.
nellen_mellen Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Good job, I guess it was supposed to be a fighter, and both of its tailbooms were actually designed around two 76mm recoilless rifles. Unfortunately it was underpowered and had poor flight characteristics, as well as the fact that one of the recoilless rifles failed catastrophically on its first firing test.
SuperKungFu Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 btw weta, its your turn to ask the question =) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Weta43 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 OK - Slipping away from the military thing, but the first plane I ever saw doing aerobatics IRL. Anyone know what this is ? Cheers.
X-man Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Could it be a Pacific Aerospace Fletcher FU-24? 64th Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 135.181.115.54

TorwaK Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Boeing 737-700WT (AWACS)? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
SuperKungFu Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 it is defiantly a 737....judging by the red color engines, maybe southwest airlines? Edit, or better yet, its a Scandinavian airline It can also be lion air, or easyjet :/ I'm trying to think of what other airline has red/orange engines like that 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
X-man Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 it is defiantly a 737....judging by the red color engines, maybe southwest airlines? Edit, or better yet, its a Scandinavian airline Correct, Scandinavian Airlines Boeing 737-600! If you see my location below my avatar, thats a huge clue (sweden) :P Im very unlikely to catch a Lion or Southwest up here (even Easyjet, Ive never seen them overfly me here) :) GJ! Your turn... 64th Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 135.181.115.54
