Guys, forget the 21 and concentrate on the riddle, furthermore there are much more beautiful aircraft than the 21 like for instance the su-27/30/34/35 series :P I mean when comparing them the 21 is like a wilderbeast next to a gazelle

MiG-21 is Theee jet!

Keep your opinion to yourself :P

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Since this might be a hard one, I'll be generous (compared to Topol :D) in clues.

This aircraft was born in the 40ies and flew for 11 years. Nearly 300 were built.

Sorry zakobi, all your guesses are wrong.

^^^

Some Gloster Meteor version?

Edit: I`m almost sure this is a british aircraft - there are some details in the cockpit that are almost identical with other british aircraft.

Ok this part is like in the Meteor. Might be some clue  Someone crazier than me that knows what these parts are may try to find more

Hm, the seat, the bank indicator and that little red warning label between the pilots legs look Japanese to me. So I was going to say some variant/evolution of the Zero or the George/Rex? Although the hint "almost 300 built" confuses me even more than the pic, lol.

Dude, i give up - i`m not good at old aircraft :(

To summarize for the others:

- first flight somewhere between 1940 and 1949

- flew for 11 years (either from the first flight or from entering in service )

- nearly 300 built

- has similarities in cockpit design with the Gloster Meteor (possibly with other british aircraft too) and some suspicious red labels that could be japanese. It could be some secret british-japanese project to take over the world destroying Germany, USSR and US with this advanced fighter.

- it`s not A-4, A-7, A-36, Brewster Buffalo, VL Humu, TBF Avenger, Gloster Meteor, J7W1, oh and almost forgot it`s not Mig-21.
