Sr. Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 I recently added an old DS4 controller to the arm of my chair by removing the screws that hold the 2 halves together, slipped in some velcro tape. Easily attaches to the arm of my chair just behind the throttle (Thrustmaster T.flight 4) :joystick: Shows up in DCS controls as "Wireless Controller" and gives me an additional 14 easy to reach buttons. I have just about everything mapped for MFD, TGP, CHINA, air brakes, left analog stick is for TGP/Mav slew, zoom, lock to SPI. It's a game changer for me... until I can hopefully afford a TM Warthog HOTAS or similar. happy flying! Sr. Posted July 8, 2020 Author Posted July 8, 2020 Nice, those analogs should be quite handy too! Thanks. So far only using the left, any suggestions for the right side? Here's what I have so far Ryzen 7 5800X3D | 64GB DDR4 3600| MSI RTX 4080 16GB Ventus 3X OC | Samsung 970 Evo 2TB NVME | Quest 3 | Logitech X-56 throttle | VKB NXT Premium | Win 11 "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." --Arthur C Clark
shu77 Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Thats a neat Mod, I have one that Use for Combined arms, and I was thinking at one point just to mount it on my Helo collective project, the analogues make a nice TDC SLEW for the Hornet.. Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
lxsapper Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 any suggestions for the right side? Well for the Hornet you could use the Y axis on the spare one for Radar antenna elevation, should be the only type of analog axis (sprung to center) that works well with it at the moment.
AlpineGTA Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 That's a really interesting idea. I didn't know DCS would pick up a PS4 controller as a wireless device. I really like my T16000 throttle but wish it had some buttons and switches on the base. This could be a good solution until I upgrade it. i5-11600K CPU, 64GB DDR4 RAM, XFX Speedster MERC319 AMD Radeon 6900 XT, Oculus Quest 2, HP Reverb G2

I am running Steam DCS btw... and Do NOT enable big picture mode or controller support in BP Windows 10 recognizes the controller on it's own Ryzen 7 5800X3D | 64GB DDR4 3600| MSI RTX 4080 16GB Ventus 3X OC | Samsung 970 Evo 2TB NVME | Quest 3 | Logitech X-56 throttle | VKB NXT Premium | Win 11 "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." --Arthur C Clark
