I recently added an old DS4 controller to the arm of my chair by removing the screws that hold the 2 halves together, slipped in some velcro tape. Easily attaches to the arm of my chair just behind the throttle (Thrustmaster T.flight 4)

:joystick:

Shows up in DCS controls as "Wireless Controller" and gives me an additional 14 easy to reach buttons. I have just about everything mapped for MFD, TGP, CHINA, air brakes, left analog stick is for TGP/Mav slew, zoom, lock to SPI.

It's a game changer for me... until I can hopefully afford a TM Warthog HOTAS or similar.

happy flying!

Nice, those analogs should be quite handy too!

Thanks. So far only using the left, any suggestions for the right side?

Here's what I have so far

Thats a neat Mod, I have one that Use for Combined arms, and I was thinking at one point just to mount it on my Helo collective project, the analogues make a nice TDC SLEW for the Hornet..

Well for the Hornet you could use the Y axis on the spare one for Radar antenna elevation, should be the only type of analog axis (sprung to center) that works well with it at the moment.

That's a really interesting idea. I didn't know DCS would pick up a PS4 controller as a wireless device. I really like my T16000 throttle but wish it had some buttons and switches on the base. This could be a good solution until I upgrade it.

I am running Steam DCS btw... and Do NOT enable big picture mode or controller support in BP

Windows 10 recognizes the controller on it's own
