I have started to have an issue where a track is played back none of the radio commands that were given using Viacom work during the track playback. For example If you call the tanker in a mission and give the command "Ready per-Contact". It works while playing the mission but when you play back the track it is like you never gave the radio command at all. This just started happening after the last update...

I suspect that as Vaicom does NOT navigate via the menus, the commands are not recorded as part of the track, which means that they will not be played back.

The DCS track system, in short, effectively records the starting position and then applies a recorded set of commands that the pilot had given, during the session, to figure out how the aircraft should behave when the track is replayed.

Tracks is DCS have all kinds of problems. Might be related to Vaicom commands being inputed into the simulator by less conventional means.

Maybe, It just started doing it so something changed somewhere. I have not spent a lot of time troubleshooting it as it was just something I noticed. I may spend some time over the weekend looking to see if it is something on my end or see if i can narrow down where the issue is. The fact that I have not seen anyone else complain about it tends to make me think something on y end is screwed up.

I experienced this with older versions as well. I'm surprised to hear that it was working before the last update. I recall doing a long mission in the Mig-15 and in the track my engines never started because the "turn on the ground power" command did not replay.

The unreliability of the track replay system is disappointing because in the predecessors to DCS it worked very well. I remember using it with Flanker 1.0.

I should also point out its just not Viacom that does this. I also use a Streamdeck and any commands I send to the aircraft through it also do not appear in the track playback and that was also working with no problem before the last update.

Then can we take it that the "last update", in the OP, refers to the last update of DCS and not the last update of Vaicom Pro?

I updated both at the same time so I am not 100% sure. I have not tested this is any other aircraft except to Hornet since that is the one I have been flying the last couple of weeks. I am going to see if I have the same issue with the F-14 and F-16 over the weekend. The more I think about it the more I am leaning that it very well is a DCS issue and not really an Viacom issue alone.

I recently realized VAICOM was the source of my track replay problems and unfortunately created a duplicate thread about the issue. I am pretty sure I had originally been replaying track files without issues while using VAICOM. I am not sure when the problem started. A similar problem is how radios were broken in WW2 fighters for VAICOM. I have to use easy communications for radios to behave acceptably in WW2 fighters.
