Ala12Rv-Tundra Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 hi there, Looking to add a open/close canopy switch. Generic for all my modules. My guess, it should be a 3-pos switch, with both momentary actions. (ON)-OFF-(ON). Is that correct? I will use arduino close for wiring and stuff. i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | Orion 2 throttle base w/ Viper & Hornet grips| VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 2x TM MFDs & 1x WW DDI | 2x Bass shakers | SIMple SIMpit chair | WW TakeOff panel | Andre JetSeat | WW Hornet UFC | WW Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle - Phantom - Mirage F1 - Afghanistan - Irak
No1sonuk Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Yes on the switch. You might need a different interface so you can define it for all the modules. Something like a Leo Bodnar board shows up in DCS as a "joystick", so you can assign the buttons as you wish.
Deadman Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 It really depends on the aircraft and how accurate you want to be the A-10C uses an on-off ( on) Switch https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Ala12Rv-Tundra Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 It really depends on the aircraft and how accurate you want to be the A-10C uses an on-off ( on) Switch yeah but out of simpleness, I would use the same switch for all modules. i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | Orion 2 throttle base w/ Viper & Hornet grips| VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 2x TM MFDs & 1x WW DDI | 2x Bass shakers | SIMple SIMpit chair | WW TakeOff panel | Andre JetSeat | WW Hornet UFC | WW Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle - Phantom - Mirage F1 - Afghanistan - Irak
Nikolas_A Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 F-16 is also on-off-(on). Which makes sense. You want to carefully close the canopy (not catch something) but while opening you can just send it up to the limit switch...
Deadman Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Simple yes correct no you asked about correct. but you can do what ever works for you https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
