TOViper
Hi folks, during VR flying in MP, single client, PG, F-14B, I crashed DCS while in a descent in the vicinity of SC. Logs attached, seems DirectX caused the issue: dcs.log-20200715-202311.zip Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G | NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti OC 11GB | 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TPR | Rift CV1

Revs
got better vr performance, but crushes to desktop in less than a minute in game. dialed down my memory clock and cpu clock a bit and all is good. still enjoying the increase performance Ryzen 1700 @ 3.8GHz / 32GB( 4x8 ) @ 3.2GHz / 1TB ADATA NVMe System Drive / 232GB NVMe Samsung 960 / ASUS dual RTX 2080ti / Reverb / Rift CV1 / T-16000M FCS flight pack A10C/M2000C/F5E/SA342/Mi8/UH1H/KA50/AJS-37/FA-18C/AV-8B/F-14/Mig29/CA/SU-
Revs
did the same thing with Assassins' Creed Odyssey and Alyx. I guess the more spread out the processes is the more it heats up the cpu, meaning DCS maybe getting better with the Vulkan Ryzen 1700 @ 3.8GHz / 32GB( 4x8 ) @ 3.2GHz / 1TB ADATA NVMe System Drive / 232GB NVMe Samsung 960 / ASUS dual RTX 2080ti / Reverb / Rift CV1 / T-16000M FCS flight pack A10C/M2000C/F5E/SA342/Mi8/UH1H/KA50/AJS-37/FA-18C/AV-8B/F-14/Mig29/CA/SU-

TOViper
Erm ... not resolved. Again I had a crash when editing a mission after flying in MP, this time without overclocking and new fresh display driver (studio driver this time) dcs.log-20200716-215100.zip Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G | NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti OC 11GB | 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TPR | Rift CV1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 17, 2020 ED Team Share Posted July 17, 2020 Why are you using the studio driver for gaming? I am unable to reproduce on my system, but the crash is display driver related Forum rules - DCS Crashing? TOViper
Why are you using the studio driver for gaming? I am unable to reproduce on my system, but the crash is display driver related Hi Big, thanks for you replies! Got this tip in the performance section of this forum. Currently I have crashes with game-ready drivers and studio drivers. Not happy these days as you can imagine. Would you recommend game-ready driver in general for DCS, and if so, which version for this particular new update? BTW: after these two crashes I re-created fxo and metashaders2 in the user profile and flew a bit. I have to fly more to give thumbs up with my current configuration (no overclock, studio drivers). TOViper
Hi Big, two hours ago I changed to studio driver 451.77, deleted fxo & metashader2, flew 2 hours, had no problems. Will fly with this configuration the next days (which runs not that bad btw), and report next week. For the time being, consider it working. Kind regards & nice weekend!
