Nate--IRL-- Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 After trying online gunzo recently, and getting killed every time, i decided to brush up on dogfighting again. I was fairly decent in F2.5, i could kill 4 excellent AI f15s v my su-33 every time in gunzo, and online and the ladder, i could more than hold my own. After firing up flanker, to see if I had truely lost it, i found a little gem of a feature i had trained my self to use in gunzo, but alas never made it in to lomac. I am of course talking about the old flanker Ctrl-j function (see pic below). I cant dogfight without it :( If ED could possibly return this feature to lomac in some future addon, you will have a very happy customer :) Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

britgliderpilot Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 what does that thing do? Indicates the position of the controls. The main advantage is that you can see how hard you're pulling on the screen, and back off . . . . can sometimes be a problem in a dogfight. Bleed too much speed through temptation  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Megile Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 hmmm I don't remember ever using that :? I knew it was a feature, I just didn't see its usefulness.. but if it makes gunzo easier...

Bleed too much speed through temptation The other advantage being the configuration of your joystick, you could then see whether your joystick is reaching the gimble limits that LOMAC uses and any jumping of control position, which can then be better adjust in the Input section of the options menu, for a smoother ride  . Please excuse me if im barking up the wrong tree, but thats my other understanding of how it could be used. "I love smashing the crap out of those buggers on the ground who keep making a beeping sound on my RWR..... the bells the bells!!!!!!.... erm yeah.... I like destroying SAM sites, thats the main point"
