Rick50 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Windows will see all keyboards as keyboards. However, if your second keyboard was a fully programmable one, and different from the first, it should work. for the purposes of using a second keyboard for different commands that I'll program, and not fall deep into the rabbit hole of 3rd party software programming... has anyone been listing what keyboards can be fully programmed by themselves?
RogueSqdn Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Razer is the only one that comes to mind. The only keys that I think that CAN'T be reprogrammed are the Windows, FN, and Menu keys. MAXsenna Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I've got a Razor. Got me the cheapest one with individual lighting. Use it as my secondary keyboard. The software is a little slow when I "program" the macros. What I use it for? It's a very cheapo "button box" alternative, and makes the buttons/keys easier to remember when you can change the key lighting. It does have some limitations though. Cannot hold keys down repeatedly. Even when Rszor the software has support for it, it just does not work in DCS, for me. (While on other titles). Might be my system, but I gave up Autohotkey, Luamacros and others. Might be the same limitation that kicks in. Don't think Razor is the only alternativ. I believe every other major vendor that has macro keyboards will work. Like I said. Just cheapest way for me with the lighting. Cheers! Sent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk
