F18 EW problems

Why doesn't my EW sound off when I'm locked on by any ground units?? it use to now nothing?? just bang I'm DEAD!!! no sound when they find me and none when a lunch happens?????

Not every vehicle gives you a warning before you are about to die

the rwr will only chirp if RADAR is being used. If it’s optical or IR it can not detect those locks... and so you won’t get a warning... avoid flying straight and level in a zone with enemy units, and scan around you visually to detect threats.

 

If it is a radar threat that is nailing you,and you aren’t getting a response.. make sure the rwr is turned on... daft I know but, depending on the state of your jet and the mission when you hit start a jet it may well be off by default.
