FoxTwo Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 (edited) It's very likely that I'm just imagining this... but I figured I'd ask. Just taxiing around on the super carrier today there's no momentum on the deck if you cut the throttle and it takes a lot of throttle to get moving. I don't remember it being like this yesterday but I could easily be making this up in my head. Weird, tried another mission and it was fine, this only happened in one of the Raven One missions. It was definitely not right but who knows why. Edited August 26, 2020 by FoxTwo
Shimvolski Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 (edited) Sounds like you didn’t take the parking break off. Same thing happened to me in Raven one. I did the automatic start up and I fast forwarded time and the auto start didn’t complete all the tasks. I was fast forwarding because it was the fifth time I had restarted the second mission because my wingman couldn’t air to air refuel. Edited August 27, 2020 by Shimvolski
FoxTwo Posted August 27, 2020 Author Posted August 27, 2020 It won't even move if you don't take it off, and I checked the p-break before posting. I was rolling around it was just... sticky. Maybe the brake axis was partially engaged on my pedals, I dunno. It was weird. It's fine now.
Nealius Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 The tire friction does feel sticky. I flew the Hornet out of Incirlik and it taxiied like an A380. I needed 50% throttle just to keep 20kts taxi speed.
